Bridging the Gap: Documentary Development Workshop
Northwest Vision and Media is pleased to welcome The Scottish Documentary Institute who will be coming to our new home in Salford Quays to deliver an outreach workshop encouraging submissions to their Bridging the Gap short documentary scheme. They will be showing examples of past award winning Bridging the Gap work, explain the aims of the scheme and how to improve your chances to be short-listed. This an excellent opportunity for those looking to develop a career in documentary filmmkaing and the scheme itself involves a huge amount of valuable industry training.
This year they’re looking for ideas for ten minute short docs on the theme of “Surprise” - the submissions deadline is 1 December. More Information and guidelines on www.docscene.org.
Please bring along an idea for a short documentary and learn how to develop and focus your treatment.
